Noval–Moro, Juan
Singer (tenor). He graduated in singing from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia’s Opera Studio in Rome (with Renata Scotto), and musicology at the University of Oviedo. He also attended masterclasses with Teresa Berganza, Raúl Giménez, Giacomo Aragall, and Daniel Muñoz. He made his debuts in Verdi’s Traviata and Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges in Aix-en-Provence and the Grand Théâtre de la Ville in Luxembourg. He has appeared in opera productions staged at the Ludwigsburg Festival, Staatstheater Mainz, Thüringer Landestheater Rudolstadt, Frankfurt Opera, Música Antigua festival in Aranjuez, and Teatro Real in Madrid. He has also appeared on concert stages in Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Canada, and Poland, performing solo parts in vocal–instrumental works as well chamber music. He has worked with conductors such as Plácido Domingo, Sylvain Cambreling, Daniel Harding, Marc Minkowski, Tugan Sokhiev, László Heltay, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Pablo Heras-Casado. In 2012 he sang the title role in the premiere performance of Paweł Mykietyn’s King Lear at the Sacrum Profanum festival in Cracow.
