This composition includes elements of Mongolian music as well as Tibetan, because I am deeply impressed by Tibet: her gorgeous colours, divine mystery, primitive simplicity, and tremendous strength. Through theatrical effects and the use of microtones, mysterious and colourful sounds can be generated to express my strong feelings about Tibet.
The important note H (as in German, known in English as B natural) is distributed throughout the melody. “H” is the first letter of the last word in Om mani padme hum, a well-known six-syllable Buddhist mantra.
