The piece, dedicated to the memory of Andrzej Chłopecki, originates in the final fragment of my opera Qudsja Zaher, setting the words of a fragment of Psalm 68 (69): “Salvum me fac Deus quoniam intraverunt aque usque ad animam meam infixus sum in limum profundi et non est substantia veni in altitudines maris et tempestas demersit me...”
