Gápová Ingrida

soprano, was born in Slovakia. She started piano studies at the age of 6. In 1993 she was awarded 2nd Prize at a Slovak folksong competition. Her education continued at the Žilina Conservatoire (Slovakia) in the vocal class, and then at the Music Academy in Banská Bystrica. She subsequently graduated in vocal studies and acting from the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz after voice studies with Hanna Michalak. Despite her young age, she has a broad repertoire consisting of oratorios, cantatas and song cycles.

Her operatic creations include: Pamina and First Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Baltic State Opera in Gdańsk, Susanna and Barbarina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at the Baltic State Opera in Gdańsk and the National Opera in Warsaw, Xenia in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov at the National Opera in Warsaw, Annina in Verdi’s La Traviata at the Baltic State Opera in Gdańsk, Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen at the Baltic State Opera in Gdańsk, Hanna in Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor, Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.
