obtained her piano diploma with Julián López Gimeno in the Royal Conservatoire of Madrid. She later moved to New York and undertook postgraduate piano studies at the Manhattan School of Music with Solomon Mikowsky and Alexander Feder. She also studied in Brussels with Aquiles Delle Vigne. She attended masterclasses run by Maria João Pires, Josep Colom, Joaquín Achúcarro, Byron Janis, Juan Soriano, Manuel Carra and Ian Wijn. She has recorded for labels such as Columna Musica, Several Records, Piccolo and Verso, as well as the Spanish Radio, German Radio and Digital+ TV. She has appeared as soloist and chamber musician in Spain and abroad, including in Madrid (Auditorio Nacional, Teatro Monumental, Teatro Albéniz, Juan March Foundation), Bilbao (Teatro Arriaga), Seville (El Monte), Barcelona, Granada (Centro Cultural Manuel de Falla), Berlin (Konzerthaus, Sophiensaele), Bayreuth, Gera, Prague (Rudolphinum), Budapest, Lisbon, New York (Hubbard Hall), Lebanon, and Istanbul. She is a founder member of the Dhamar Trio/Group, dedicated to contemporary music and responsible for more than fifty premieres, and plays in a piano duo with Antonio Narejos, working with composers such as Cristóbal Halffter, Luis de Pablo, José María Sánchez-Verdú, Tomás Marco and Joan Guinjoan. She also participates in many contemporary music festivals including Ultraschall, Lucerne, Molina, Córdoba, etc. Isabel Puente also has a degree in law, and teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Madrid, where she is a piano accompanist.
