Kusiel-Moroz Krzysztof

Born in 1965, he graduated from the Department of Symphony and Opera Conducting at the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in 1990 in the class of Stanisław Wisłocki. He also studied choral conducting with Ryszard Zimak. Since 1990 he has taught conducting at the Academy and has been a conductor of the its Boys’ and Mixed Choirs. He has also led the Harfa Singing Society Choir and the Karol Szymanowski State Music School Complex Choir.

He has conducted several orchestras including the Warsaw Philharmonic, Bydgoszcz Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Polish Radio Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonia Juventus, F. Chopin Music University Orchestra, Kristiansand Orkestr, Oldenburg Rathsmusik and Japan Youth Orchestra.

As a choirmaster he is a regular guest at the Wratislavia Cantans Festival, as well as appearing throughout Europe, the US, and Japan.

He is also active as a composer: his output includes two symphonies, a Piano Concerto, Sinfonietta for string orchestra, the oratorio Polish Passion, Agnus Dei and a number of chamber and choral works. He has sat on the juries of several national and international choral and conducting competitions, and runs masterclasses for choirmasters.
