Rudawski, Rafał
Born in 1983 in Przemyśl; composer, pianist, conductor; he is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and lecturer at the Lower Silesian Academy of Sound Engineering. He composes film music, illustrations for theatrical plays (such as Justine, Sister of My..., dir. T. Rytwiński), and electronic music. He has coauthored music for TV series such as Father Mateusz, Family.pl, A Year in the Garden, Uroczysko (Wilderness), as well as for television broadcasts (Poland Rules, How Does It Work), numerous foreign films, and trailers. For 19 years he has contributed to the Polish gospel music scene, serving as an instructor and juror at the Copenhagen Gospel Festival, Osiek Gospel Festival, and Luneburg Gospel Night. He has performed with leading Polish and foreign gospel artists, including Ewa Uryga, Marek Bałata, Mietek Szcześniak, Natalia Niemen, Natalia Kukulska, Christian Charles de Plicque, Michael Greene (USA), Eggo Fuhrmann (Germany), David Daniel, Peter Francis (UK), Peter Steinvig (Denmark), Karen Burke, and the Toronto Mass Choir (Canada). He plays the piano on the live DVD album of the GospelJoy choir (2007). He presents his own original compositions with the Wrocław Gospel Choir, of which he is the founder and conductor, as well as composer and producer of its first album. He also produced his own original CD of electronic music entitled Creation. Winner of the 1st prize and Grand Prix at the CEMF Cekcyn Electronic Music Festival in 2011. He works in his own studio in Lower Silesia. As an enthusiast of studio analogue audio equipment, he has created a library of original samples; he also creates programmes for synthesizers and samplers.
