Wójciński, Ksawery

Bassist and composer, born in 1983. His interests range from early music to sophisticated improvised contemporary music. He has worked with musicians such as Uri Caine, Charles Gayle, Mikołaj Trzaska, Maciej Obara, Michael Zerang, Satoko Fuji, Nicole Mitchell, Tim Sparks, Klaus Kugel, Marek Kądziela, Ken Vandermark, Tim Daisy, Mats Gustafsson, Gaba Kulka, Robert Rasz, Wacław Zimpel, Paweł Postaremczak, Raphael Roginski, Robert Kusiołek, and Krzysztof Dys. As a member of ensembles such as Affinity, Hera, Infant Joy, and Charles Gayle Trio, he is well known for his vocal experiments recalling artists such as Tom Waits and Frank Zappa.

He has recorded a dozen records, as well as performing at prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad. The year 2014 saw the publication of his solo CD The Soul.
