Giomi, Francesco

Composer and sound artist. He has collaborated with Luciano Berio and other famous composers, musicians, choreographers, directors as well as orchestras and ensembles from Italy and other countries. He has led the live electronics team of Tempo Reale in theatres and festivals all over the world. He has composed computer music for many years. In the last decade he has developed LKO, a new creative project investigating the relations between electroacoustic music and improvisation. He conducts ensembles in Florence, Bologna, Bremen, and Manchester. He is a professor of electronic music at the Giovanni Battista Martini Conservatoire in Bologna.
