Bass singer, born in 1983 in Grudziądz. He graduated from the singing class of Jerzy Artysz and the choral conducting class of Mieczysław Nowakowski at the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw.
He made his solo debut in March 2007 in Karol Kurpiński’s Henry VI at the Hunt at the Warsaw Chamber Opera, with which he is linked to this day. He has also worked with the Grand Theatre in Poznań in Verdi’s Ernani. In 2010 on the invitation of Marc Minkowski, he appeared at the Chopin and His Europe and Wratislavia Cantans festivals. He has also performed at the Warsaw and Cracow philharmonics as well as theatres in Poland, Spain and Japan. In June 2013, he performed the bass solo part of Beethoven’s Symphony no. 9 at the Warsaw Philharmonic’s end-of-season concert.
He is also active as a chamber musician, being the founder and artistic director of the proMODERN sextet, the first Polish vocal ensemble specialised in modern music. As a conductor, he has worked with the Ars Cantata choir and the Warsaw School of Economics choir, winning awards at international competitions. He is also a member of the Favola in Musica ancient music quartet, and has appeared with numerous other ensembles including the UMFC Vocal Consort, Cappella Corale Varsaviana, and La Tempesta.
His repertoire also includes a number of oratorio roles as well as jazz music. He also appears as an actor, notably at the Ateneum and Polski theatres in Warsaw.
