Dworakowski, Konrad

Director and actor, he graduated from the Puppet Art Department at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw, Białystok Branch. In 2003–5 he was artistic manager of the Guliwer Puppet Theatre in Warsaw. He has directed plays at puppet and dramatic theatres in Poland and abroad. His main productions include Mikrokosmos at the Pantomime Theatre in Wrocław, Balladyny i romanse after Ignacy Karpowicz and Bruno Schulz. Historia występnej wyobraźni at the Pinokio Theatre in Łódź, and Dumanowski Side A at the Stary Theatre in Cracow.

He also writes scripts and song texts for both children and adults. He is the coauthor of City’s Call (2015), a play to a text by Andrzej Bart, concluded by a project of the same name at the Pinokio Theatre, a continuation of the project The City Speaking, based on stories told by residents of Łódź. Since 2009, Konrad Dworakowski is General and Artistic Director of the Pinokio Theatre in Łódź.
