Dudek, Adam

Multimedia artist and graphic designer, born in 1964 in Dąbrowa Górnicza. He studied visual communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (Katowice Branch). Inspired by music, he is active as a video artist, multimedia installation designer, and director.

His works have been presented notably at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in Warsaw, Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw, the Nostalgia Festival, and Warsaw Autumn.

His output includes the film Odyssey 2006 with music by Tadeusz Wielecki (2006), the video installation Opera proibita / Jacek with music by Paweł Mykietyn (2008), a video for Salvatore Sciarrino’s opera Luci mie traditrici directed by Tomasz Cyz (2009), the video installations Revolutionary Etude (2010) and Memorial Book at the new seat of the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw (with scenographer Boris Kudlička), and the multimedia installation Spoon River Anthology (with composer Aleksander Nowak, 2013).

He is also active as a graphic designer, authoring posters, books, and visual identity systems. Since 2012 he creates the graphic design of Warsaw Autumn Festival. He has held scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Currently he is a PhD student and lecturer at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
