Kierkosz, Anna

Musician, musicologist, educator, culture promoter, author of song texts and literary miniatures. In her works, she combines her promotional, artistic, writing, and teaching experiences. She initiated and authored research on the modern oral tradition in Mazovia (2006–7) and was subsequently editor of an edition of that research. She was head of marketing and promotion at the Mazovian Institute of Culture (2007–13) and at the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute (2014–16) where she oversaw the promotional campaign for the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in 2015. Currently she is head of education and propagation at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle and vice-chairman of the board at the Music is for Everyone Foundation. She has authored complex animation, artistic, and research projects for children and publications such as Bajki znad Wisły, Bugu i Narwi (2006–7), Mazurka | On the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin (2010), Śpiewaj mi mamo (2012–13), and MGM Młodzieżowa Gazeta Muzyczna (2012–13). Since 1998 she cooperates with the Warsaw Autumn Festival.
