For many years, I have been spending a lot of time studying traditional Chinese paintings. I am especially fascinated with the ancient landscape paintings of the Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty. These landscape paintings directly reflect the natural world and express the spirit of nature. Inspired by the artistic conception of Song and Yuan landscape paintings, Listen to the Valleys is intended to express imagined sounds of nature with changing acoustic space and colours.
