Les sept crimes de l’amour - George Aperghis

is imbued with the spirit of instrumental theatre. The score indicates the position of the three protagonists throughout the seven movements. The musical plot unfolds sequentially. Apart from the musical score, there is no element of stage direction. The stage aspect rests on the use of props (some symbolic, such as an apple) and the specific use of instruments (e.g. the body of the clarinet with no mouthpiece, or the zarb as a loudspeaker, and so forth).
Duration: circa 12 minutes.
