Yiri - Przemysław Scheller

The Aboriginal word yiri was usually rendered by Western travellers as “dreamtracks” or “songlines.” The native inhabitants of Australia travelled while singing, and it was music, not words, that set their path. With that, the Natives could travel hundred of kilometres. They also believed that in singing, they connected with the mythical “Time of Sleep.” The didgeridoo was also a permanent fixture during Aboriginal rituals.
