The word “concerto” refers to collaboration between the soloist and orchestra. In this piece, the solo part is more embedded in the orchestral textures, and the orchestra does not act as a mere accompanist.

This one-part composition was commissioned by the Warsaw Autumn Festival. Duration: ca.18–20 minutes. The Concerto for Piano, Percussion and Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to Krzysztof Droba.
