Kuc Arkadiusz
began his music education at the age of 7 at the M. Karłowicz 1st and 2nd degree State Music School in Katowice, in the percussion class of Roman Gawlik. He completed his secondary education there with distinction in 1995, and went on to study at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice in the percussion class of Jan Zegalski, graduating with distinction.
He has taken part in numerous music courses both at home and abroad, under many outstanding teachers, including J. Beck, E. Sejeurné, D. Friedman, M. Ford, N. Zivkovic, M. Ptaszyńska and N. Rosauro.
For many years he has been working with a number of orchestras: the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Silesian Philharmonic, Zabrze Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of Silesia, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, New Music Orchestra and Camerata Silesia, taking part in concerts, recordings and first performances both in Poland and abroad. He has taken part in such festivals as Warsaw Autumn, Wratislavia Cantans, Misteria Paschalia, Musica Polonica Nova, Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, Film Music Festival in Cracow, Sacrum Profanum, Silesian Days of Contemporary Music, Michał Spisak International Music Competition, Ada Sari International Festival and Vocal Art of Central Europe and Bad Hersfelder Festspiele (Germany). Since 1997 he has been teaching the percussion class at the F. Chopin 1st and 2nd degree School of Music in Bytom, and the S. Moniuszko 1st and 2nd degree State School of Music in Zabrze.
