Radziejewska Anna
graduated with distinction from the singing class of Jerzy Artysz at the Music Academy in Warsaw. Since 1999 she has been a soloist at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. She has sung solo parts with orchestras under the baton of conductors such as Harry Bicket and Ivor Bolton (Handel’s Rinaldo at the Bavarian State Opera), Attilio Cremonesi (works by Monteverdi, Scarlatti, Handel, and Peri at the Lucerne Theatre, Hebbeltheater Berlin, Theater an der Wien, Grosses Haus in Brunswick, Burghof Lorach, Schlosstheater Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg, Cologne Opera, WDR concert hall in Cologne, Stadschowburg Amsterdam and Freiburg Theatre), Andreas Spering (Vlaamse Opera, Handel’s Rinaldo), Sébastien Rouland (Mozart’s Lucio Silla, Handel’s Rinaldo at Luzernertheater), Jan Pasveer (J. S. Bach’s St Matthew Passionat Het Concertgebouw), Johannes Debus (S. Sciarrino’sMacbethat Lucerne Theatre), Tito Ceccherini (S. She has performed in stage productions created by artists such as Mariusz Treliński, Ryszard Peryt (most of the productions of Warsaw Chamber Opera), Maciej Prus, Jitka Stokalska, Marek Weiss, Joachim Schloemer, Reinhild Hoffmann (Sciarrino’s Macbeth), Trisha Brown (Sciarrino’s Da gelo a gelo), Robert Carsen, Rebbeca Horn (Sciarrino’s Luci mie traditrici), Miron Hackenbeck, Rudger Engels, and Andrea Schwalbach (Sciarrino’s Superflumina).
Anna Radziejewska’s concert repertoire is also rich and varied, including song recitals, oratorios and vocal-instrumental works, as well as concerts with early music ensembles (Collegium Musicum Koeln, Concerto Vocale, Il Tempo, Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense, Musicalia, Sinfonietta Žilina) and contemporary music ensembles (Klangforum Wien, Algoritmo, Icarus).
She is the world’s leading performer of works by Salvatore Sciarrino, appearing in the first performances of his operas Da gelo a gelo (in the part of Izumi) in 2006 and Superflumina (La Donna) in 2011, as well as the chamber works L’altro giardino in 2010, and Cantiere del poema, dedicated to her, in September 2011. She was awarded the Andrzej Hiolski prize for the best opera debut in 2001, as well as winning awards at many national and international vocal competitions. In 2010 she was awarded the Gloria Artis bronze medal.
Since 1999 she has been involved in teaching. At present she teaches solo singing at the Department of Singing of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. She is also frequently invited to give masterclasses.
