Kazińska, Małgorzata
Theatre director, she graduated in puppet theatre directing from the Wrocław Branch of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow (formerly PWST) as well as in cello performance from the State Music School in Zielona Góra. Since 2018 she has been an assistant lecturer at the AST in Cracow (Department of Puppet Theatre). She has received scholarships from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (twice), Mayor of Wrocław, and Mayor of Zielona Góra. She has directed spectacles at such theatres as Warsaw’s Baj, Lubuski Theatre in Zielona Góra, and Puppentheater Zwickau, where she was play director, assistant director and playwright in 2016–18. Her shows have been presented at international and nationwide festivals, winning prizes and honourable mentions. Her musical show Like the Onset of Dying earned her the 1st prize in the 11th International Józef Szajna Events Festival and an award in the 38th Nationwide Meetings of One Actor Theatres in Wrocław. She creates shows for child and adult audiences, drawing both on traditional forms of the puppet theatre and new means of expression, especially in combination with live music, as in MiniOpera for chamber ensemble, soloists and electronics, based on literary works by Erna Rosenstein, premiered during the 31st Musica Polonica Nova Festival at NFM Wrocław.
