Ostapczuk, Bartłomiej
Mime actor and director, teacher, author of mimography, stage motion, movement and mime consultant for theatre and film. Since 2005 he has been the artistic director of the International Mime Art Festival at the Dramatyczny Theatre in Warsaw. Founder of the Warsaw Pantomime Centre and the Mimo Pantomime Theatre , cofounder of the Federation of European Mime.
He has authored numerous artistic projects and productions in pantomime and physical theatre. Since 2005, he runs his own Pantomime Studio in Warsaw as well as theatre workshop cycles notably at the Mazovian Institute of Culture. He has taught at theatre schools in the Czech Republic, South Korea, and the United States. In 1998-2001 he was an actor of the Pantomime Theatre in Warsaw and the Mime Studio. He has received numerous scholarships from the School for Mime Theatre in Ohio (2001, 2003, 2004).
He has also learned the art of the mime in Spain. He has performed in plays and projects directed notably by Robert Wilson, Lionel Ménard, Leszek Mądzik, Krzysztof Warlikowski, Mariusz Treliński, Petr Boháč, Mikołaj Grabowski, Tomasz Konina, Achim Freyer, Jan Buchwald, and Laco Adamik, and has appeared on stage in Japan, Puerto Rico, the US, England, Germany, China, Lithuania, Russia, France, Israel, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, New Zealand, and Portugal.
