Falowanie. W powietrzu i w wodzie (Waving. On Air and in the Water) -
Krzysztof Topolski (Arszyn)
The installation tells the story how sounds not only resonate in the air, but also in other environments, including water. This helps children visualise the unobvious physical phenomenon they don't fully grasp. Thanks to the transducers that change acoustic waves into vibrations, children can "see" sounds. The water moves, reflecting the invisible shapes of acoustic waves.
Children shall first hear a special sound composition through loudspeakers placed on the Królikarnia palace's terrace; then in the grotto underneath the palace they shall see the visual effects of the same soundwave on water. The water surface will become the visual representation of the sound, assuming fascinating shapes.
