Sałdan, Bartosz
He graduated with honours from the percussion class of Jan Pilch at the Music Academy in Cracow (2013) where he currently is a PhD student.
As a soloist, he made his debut with the Cracow and Opole philharmonics. As a chamber musician, he has participated in many festivals including Sources and Inspirations in Cracow, Music in Old Cracow, Warsaw Autumn, Brand New Music in Katowice, Film Music Festival, and the Summer Courses in New Music in Darmstadt. He has given concerts notably in Japan, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia, and Poland, and has given first performances of works by Agata Zubel, Karol Nepelski, Joanna Woźny, Cezary Duchnowski, and Leopold Hurt. As a percussionist and timpanist, he works with many orchestras including the Cracow Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Capella Cravoviensis, Polish Orchestra of the 18th Century, and Sinfonia Iuventus.
He has won awards both as a soloist and chamber musician at competitions in Poland, Slovenia, Greece, and Ukraine.
He is a member of the Contemporary Ensemble music cooperative.
