Sobiszewski, Jacqueline

Visual artist, working in light, video, film and photography. Born and educated in the Netherlands, she studied at the Department of Cinematography at the National Film School in Łódź. By combining various techniques, she looks for a new visual language in different disciplines of art, in cooperation with directors and musicians, as well as individually, in Poland and abroad. She was awarded in the International Small Scene Theatre Festival in Rijeka (Croatia) for the lights design for Grzegorz Jarzyna’s mede:a (Vienna’s Burgtheater 2008) and received an honourable mention for her lights design at the Divine Comedy International Theatre Festival (“for creating a unified landscape which explores separateness through creating a powerful emotional load,” 2009).
