Przebinda, Halina

Born in 1964 in Cracow, culture manager, director and producer of artistic programmes, shows and festivals. Her projects have frequently been awarded and nominated at festivals. She is a culture expert and graduate of the Philosophy and History Department of the Jagiellonian University. She began her career as the Programme Director of the Rotunda Student Culture Centre of the Jagiellonian University and Director of the Student Song Festival. In 2008–9, she was the Director of Polish TV Programme Office. In 1995 she founded TOProduction, a company specialising in producing spectacular projects, television programmes, and documentary films, she has been associated with that company ever since. Advocate of innovative solutions, she embraces modern technology, combining concerts with graphics and animation. She pioneered 3D recording of music programmes and concerts in Poland. She was the initiator, script writer and director of the concert of collectives opening the European Stadium of Culture, a festival held as part of the East–West programme, which has attracted several million people over three years.
