Pieniążek, Jan

Born in 1948 in Warsaw. Sound engineer and multimedia artist; author of interactive sound & image installations and objects; author and coauthor of several open-air and stage actions. Member of theatre companies Akademia Ruchu and Teatr W Stanie Surowym, as well as Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PSeME). Vice-President of the Art Lovers Foundation; board member of the Dzianina Foundation for Creative Initiatives. As an author he has taken part in festivals such as Audioart, WRO Biennale, Most-Art, Moving Closer, Interactions, Icons of Victory, Metal Festival, Art Up-rising Mazovian Artists’ Festival, Open’er 08, Transform, Der Katolische Faktor, Street Art, as well as the opera production The Heart-Piece-Double Opera by Krzysztof Knittel and John King. Coauthor of projects such as Toward the City and Terminal as the Space of Compromise; author of the exhibition On The Other Side of Time and the city space multimedia action Kalisz Triangle
