Scanty musical tools should excite just a few simple emotions to remind us of one simple truth. The tools are: a hocket, the C major chord, microtonal deviations, as well as repetition and reappearance. And open strings, natural harmonics, and the nontempered tones of natural horns, sounds of metal percussion rid of its metal character by means of water, and melodies rid of their melodicity by means of microtones, hocketing and... silence.
The six movements last 45 minutes in total; the last three ones may be played attacca. Patience and comfortable seats are necessary.
