Venta was designed for and is performed on rare vintage analogue electronic instruments: organs/synthesizers originally manufactured in Vilnius in Soviet times under the Venta brand. The work aims at revealing the possibilities of Venta hardware in the 21st century, using different timbres and technological solutions of these now historical analogue instruments.
The work was specially created for the Sound Exchange European festival network and presented at Lithuania, Estonia, and Germany. In January 2014, it was performed live at the famous CTM festival in Berlin. This composition in four movements has the collective DIISSC Orchestra performing on several different Venta models, and enhancing their sound with the use of legendary Polyvoks synthesizer and others devices.
