Inspired by instruments that vibrate, resonate, pulsate, and blossom with opening buds of harmonics. Instruments sound. It is from these sound fibres that musical textures are made, and what is most interesting is what goes on inside.
The state of sound matter can change: sound can evaporate, sublimate, or slip through your fingers. Concentrated or dispersed, they enter into reactions with one another. The ready-made amalgams can then be made into stories.
The piece was commissioned by the 5th Wawel at Dusk Summer Music Festival (2012).
