Festivals: 2014 ISCM World Music Days and 2015 Musica Electronica Nova

ISCM World Music Days
3–12 October 2014, Wrocław

ISCM World Music Days is one of the most prestigious contemporary music festivals in the world. It was established by the International Society for Contemporary Music and is held each year in a different country. The Wrocław edition programme will include concerts notably by Klangforum Wien, Court-circuit, Peter Eötvös’s opera Angels in America, Sławomir Kupczak’s Symphony no. 2 for 100 Motorbikes, Datamatics [ver.2.0] by Ryoji Ikeda, Supersilent feat, John Paul Jones, and many more. ISCM World Music Days is organised by the City of Wrocław and the National Forum of Music, Wrocław Opera, Wrocław Music Academy, Polish Radio Programme 2, and the Polish Society for Contemporary Music.

6th International Festival of Electroacoustic Music
“Musica Electronica Nova”
15–23 May 2015, Wrocław

“Electro-Vision”
The 6th edition of Musica Electronica Nova presents the latest electroacoustic music interacting with film and complementing experimental and visionary multimedia work. The oeuvre of electronics giant Pierre Henry will be juxtaposed with the film Man with a Movie Camera (dir. D. Vertov) and forms a soundand-vision duo with a multimedia fountain. Thierry de Mey, the Festival’s composer-in-residence, will dazzle us with his sonoristic and photographic ideas. Premieres, workshops, film shows with live music, and installations.
Musica Electronica Nova 2015 is organised by National Forum of Music in Wrocław.
