Beller Grégory
is a PhD student in computer science at the University of Paris VI. Former student of the École Normale, he holds an aggregation in applied physics and degrees in music and computer science. He teaches digital music and acoustics at the University Paris-Est / Marne-la-Vallée. Since joining the Analysis / Synthesis team at IRCAM, he has become interested in the musicality of the spoken voice. After working on speech synthesis and prosodic modelling, he led research on generative models for expressivity and their applications for speech and music, especially through performance. He has been member of the VIVOS ANR-project and has co-organized the four conferences string EMUS on the expressivity in music and speech. He also takes part in a range of artistic projects as a music composer. He recently has joined the IRCAM computermusic designer team in the creation department to help composers in the algorithmic creation, realisation and interpretation of their pieces.
