Petrini Anna
Educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm in the class of Dan Laurin, and at the Music Conervatore in Amsterdam under Walter van Hauwe. She specialises in performing contemporary and early music on recorders, as well as on the Paetzold contrabass recorder. She has given concerts at the Tokyo Opera, Casa de Música in Portugal and, through the World Music Days in 2009, has become known in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Her per formances have been recorded by the Swedish, Danish, Italian and Australian radios. As the soloist of the La Soave Melodia ensemble she received an award at the Van Wassenaer International Early Music Competition in Holland (2004). Together with the baroque ensemble Trio Stravaganti she received the First Prize at the Swedish “Ung och Lovande” competition (2007). She has performed world premieres of many compositions, and collaborates with a number of composers, most recently with the Swedish composer Malin Bang and with Dominik Karski.
