Nalazek, Bartosz
Director of photography and lighting director, graduate of the National Film School in Łódź (2010). He was assistant cinematographer to Janusz Kamiński in Steven Spielberg’s productions War Horse, Lincoln, and Bridge of Spies, and David Dobkin’s The Judge, as well as second unit operator in François Girard’s Boy Choir with Dustin Hoffman and in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. In 2014 he was the author of photography for a series of short films entitled Making a Scene, produced for The New York Times Magazine and featuring actors such as Cate Blanchett, Forest Whitaker, Bradley Cooper, Oscar Isaac, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Robert Redford. The International Cinematographers Guild in Los Angeles granted Bartosz Nalazek the Emerging Cinematographer Award for the most promising young cinematographers. As lighting director and author of visualisations, he has cooperated with Krystian Lupa, Maja Kleczewska, Agnieszka Olsten, Wiktor Rubin, Bartek Frąckowiak, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, and Łukasz Twarkowski. In 2014 he won the prize for the best stage visuals (for Krzysztof Garbaczewski’s Kronos) at the Divine Comedy International Theatre Festival in Cracow.
