Singer (alto). An early pupil of Zofia Brégy, she graduated from the class of Jerzy Artysz at the Music Academy in Wrocław. She has performed in leading venues worldwide including Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Salle Pleyel and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Gasteig and Herkulessaal in Munich, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Royal Albert Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington, and State Hall (International Convention Center) in Jerusalem; opera theatres including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Covent Garden, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, Vienna State Opera, Frankfurt Opera, Grand Théâtre de Genève; and festivals such as the Handel Festspiele in Karlsruhe, MDR-Musiksommer, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Salzburg Festival, Brucknerfest Linz, Styriarte in Graz, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the London Proms. She has worked with conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Marek Janowski, Bernard Haitink, Colin Davis, Seiji Ozawa, Leopold Hager, Helmuth Rilling, Riccardo Chailly, Jesús López-Cobos, Charles Dutoit, Armin Jordan, Krzysztof Penderecki, Lorin Maazel, Kent Nagano, and Simon Rattle. She has recorded more than 50 CDs for labels including Philips, Eterna, EMI, Erato, Teldec, Orfeo, BMG, Decca, Naxos, and Polskie Nagrania. She often serves in the juries of leading vocal competitions. She teaches a singing class at the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw and cooperates with the Music Academy in Gdańsk.
