Siemieńczuk, Olga
Soprano singer, born in 1989 in Białystok, she graduated with honours from the class of Jolanta Janucik at the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw (2014) and the postgraduate Lieder study at the same academy. She has also participated in masterclasses with Rudolf Piernay, Urszula Kryger, Axel Bauni, and Agata Zubel. She is currently a student of Olga Pasichnyk and Cezary Szyfman. In 2014 she won the Special Prize at the Pustina International Vocal Competition and in 2016, with pianist Karolina Czechowska, she was a finalist of the Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition in Łódź.
She made her operatic debut at the Grand Theatre – National Opera in a student version of Britten’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream. She also sang Colette in Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Le devin du village in Rheinsberg; Eurilla in Haydn’s Orlando paladino in Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia; and Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. In 2014 she sang Sie in Dariusz Przybylski’s Wasserstimmen as well as Woman and Marzanna in Nikolet Burzyńska’s Orpheus’s Labirynth. In 2015, her interpretation of the main female role in Eunho Chang’s chamber opera Sacred Emily garnered enthusiastic reviews.
