Concert Walks are a new type of concert, combining music, movement and site-specific stories and atmospheres. The Concert Walk concept was developed by artist and curator Anna Berit Asp Christensen, and arranged as walks in which small musical surprises pop up on carefully selected spots in an area. The unique combination of a musical programme and a walk creates a new kind of encounter between music and audience. The Concert Walk mixes music with its surroundings, creating a completely new, interesting situation in the borderline between art, music, nature and urban environments and cultural heritage.
The NewAud Concert Walk is a special artistic event during which the public shall experience the concept of Danish composer Anna Berit Asp Christensen as performed by the Scenatet and Kwartludium ensembles, specialising in the performance of contemporary music.
The cooperation of these ensembles was developed within the European project New Music: New Audiences. This European cultural programme encompasses 17 countries, 16 musical organisations, and 31 new music ensembles. The concert allows the public to meet two ensembles that cocreate a new music programme, fully reflecting the idea of the New Music: New Audiences project.
