He currently studies composition with Anna Zawadzka-Gołosz. In 2013 he graduated with honours in music theory, with a dissertation titled The construction of musical space in Frescos by Grażyna Pstrokońska–Nawratil, and in composition (his graduation work, Firmamentum, is scored for spatially arranged 32-strong instrumental ensemble). In 2012 his Snatches of Dreams for bass flute and vibraphone received an honourable mention in the Tadeusz Baird Young Composers’s Competition in Warsaw. Kamil Kruk attended two series of masterclasses in composition run by Grażyna Pstrokońska–Nawratil. In his music, Kamil Kruk concentrates on such qualities as sound colour, space, and narrative energy. He is interested in the psychology of creation and in constructivism as a method of composition. He searches for individual forms and ways of musical expression.
