Garcia, Xavier

Born in 1959. Composer and improviser, he has authored over 30 electroacoustic works, realised at the INA Groupe de Recherches Musicales, Groupe de Musiques Vivantes in Lyon, and at his own studio. Since 1987 he has been a member of the ARFI group. He also appears as a soloist in projects such as Virtuel Meeting, Réel Meeting, and Radiorama. He has cooperated with musicians and ensembles such as Éric Brochard, Chris Cutler, Brian Eno, Gianni Gebbia, Heiner Goebbels, Alexandre Meyer, Orchestre Nationale de Jazz, Franck Tortiller, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, Hasse Poulsen, Carlo Rizzo, Yves Robert, Guillaume Roy, Norbert Stein, with theatre (Jean-Paul Delore, Denis Guénoun, Maccocco/Lardenois, Jean-Yves Picq, André Wilms) and dance artists (Stéphanie Aubin, Ulises Alvarez, Julyen Hamilton), as well as cinema, animation, and happening.
